The following courses have been APPROVED to count as electives for the Applied Math Major:

All Math courses numbered 61 or above.

Economics (EC) 108, 118, 119, 154, 201, 202
Electrical and Computer Engineering (EE) 18, 107, 108, 125
Engineering Science (ES) 152
Mechanical Engineering (ME) 137, 150, 166
Philosophy (PHIL) 103, 170
Physics (PHY) 12, 13, and any course numbered 31 or above
Psychology (PSY) 140

The following courses will NOT be allowed to count as an elective for the Applied Math Major:

Biology (BIO) 133
Computer Science (CS) 11, 15
Economics (EC) 13, 18, 107, 169, 191
Philosophy (PHIL) 33, 114
Psychology (PSY) 107, 108
Sociology (SOC) 101

Students who would like to request approval of a different 'related fields' course (not mentioned above) to count as an elective should send an email of a detailed description of the course.
